About devvkit
# /origin
devvkit started as a personal project driven by frustration. Every developer tool site I came across had the same problems: cluttered interfaces, mandatory sign-ups, server-side processing that compromised privacy, and ads that got in the way of actual work.
I wanted something different. A toolkit where every tool runs entirely in the browser, no data you input ever touches our servers, and there are no accounts and no paywalls. Just clean, fast, useful tools that respect the person using them.
# /today
devvkit has grown into a comprehensive developer platform with 68 free tools across 5 categories, 13 guides, 12 roadmaps, 20 curated datasets, and 500+ AI prompts. Every feature follows the same principles: client-side processing, no sign-up, free forever. The only data we receive is anonymized analytics and ad impressions: and only if you opt in via the cookie banner.

# /principles
- -Privacy first: all processing happens in your browser. Your inputs are never sent to our servers. We only collect anonymized analytics and ad impressions if you opt in via the cookie banner.
- -Zero friction: no accounts, no sign-ups, no API keys. Open the page and start working.
- -Free forever: no paywalls, no usage limits, no premium tiers. The tools are the product.
- -Developer-first: clean terminal aesthetic, keyboard-friendly, minimal JavaScript overhead.
# /stack
Built with Next.js and TypeScript, styled with Tailwind CSS v4, and served on the edge via Vercel. The terminal aesthetic reflects the philosophy: no unnecessary ornament, no wasted motion. Every byte and every click earns its place.
# /roadmap
devvkit is in active development. Upcoming additions include:
- -Community features for sharing prompts, tools, and knowledge
- -More interactive tool components with visual editors
- -Expanded library reference with 200+ framework and tool entries
- -Interactive code playgrounds integrated with each library entry
